    Pre-requisites: Foundations for Safeguarding

    This module aims to develop your awareness of how community organisations undertake safeguarding within the context of providing activities and/or services to those with a criminal conviction, and helps you to understand how to support this work within the scope of your role.

    By the end of this module, you will:

    • Understand what safeguarding arrangements your organisation should have in place.
    • Identify the gaps in your own knowledge about your organisation's safeguarding arrangements.
    • Recognise 'risk' and how to factor this into supporting people with criminal convictions.
    • Apply the understanding you gained in your previous safeguarding training to some scenarios you may encounter in supporting people with criminal convictions.
